How to make the Yogi Bear cake

Difficulty: Easy

  • Total time

We will start by preparing the dough, for this in the glass of a robot add all the ingredients until you see that they form like crumbs, remove the dough from the glass and join it slightly with your hands, making two balls that we will crush and film, letting them rest in the refrigerator a minimum of one hour . If you don’t want to make the dough yourself, buy two round sheets of refrigerated breeze dough and skip this first step.

We will preheat the oven to 180 degrees with heat up and down . We peel and cut the apples into small pieces and mix them with the vanilla, brown sugar and cinnamon. On the other hand we mix the cornstarch with the lemon juice.

In a frying pan we melt the butter B over medium heat, when it starts to sizzle, add the apples and cook them for fifteen minutes over low heat . Add the cornstarch and lemon juice mixture and cook again for five minutes.

On a floured countertop we roll one of the first dough balls with a rolling pin until it is a circle about five centimeters larger than the mold size, we place it in the greased and floured mold. Add the apple filling and stretch the other piece of dough, this time making a small hole or chimney so that the dough does not burst.

Carefully we place it on the filling and we lash the edges making a cord. We paint it with the egg and milk and cook it for 45 minutes or until the dough looks golden.

With what to accompany the Yogi Bear cake

The Yogi Bear or Apple Pie cake I am sure that, apart from longing for our childhood cartoons, you will love it. The smooth, simple filling is packed with flavor thanks to the spices and that slightly tart apple variety.
